Bhubaneswar: Today is Mahashivaratri. The entire State is bustling with activity. The entire atmosphere is vibrating with the sound of Om Namah Shivaya. All the Shiva temples in the state are bustling today for Jagar. Lakhs of devotees have thronged to have darshan of Mahadev. 

The Ekamra Kshetra is in a festive mood. Mahadeepa of Lord Lingaraj will be lit at 10 pm. Thousands of devotees have gathered at the Lingaraj temple since morning today. Security has been tightened by the police administration for orderly darshan. For crowd control and security, 100 police officers and 40 platoons of police force have been deployed at the Lingaraj temple. 

On the other hand, there is a festive atmosphere at Baba Lokanath's shrine in Puri, Baba Dhabaleswar in Athgarh, and Shiva temple in Kapilas. Extensive preparations have been made for the Jagar. This time, the Jagar Yatra of Baba Akhandalamani, the chief of RD Dham, will be celebrated for two days.
