Plus Two examinations kick off with Science stream students taking Odia test

Bhubaneswar, Feb 18: The much-anticipated Plus Two examinations conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) officially commenced today, marking a significant milestone for students across the state. On the inaugural day, candidates from the Science stream sat for their test in the Odia subject, while students from the Arts and Commerce streams will begin their examinations on Wednesday.
The examination period is scheduled to run until March 27, with a staggering 393,618 candidates registered to participate. They will be distributed across 1,276 examination centers throughout the state, comprising 247,391 candidates in the Arts stream, 114,980 in Science, and 25,526 in Commerce. Additionally, 5,721 students enrolled in vocational education are also set to take the exams.
Each exam is scheduled from 10 AM to 1 PM, with a total of 22 sittings planned for the entire examination period. To maintain the integrity of the examination process, a five-level squad and CCTV surveillance have been installed at all centers to deter malpractice.
The CHSE aims to announce the results within 45 days post-examination and has issued warnings against question paper leaks and related rumors, emphasizing that while the syllabus remains unchanged, the examination pattern has been revised. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has extended his best wishes to the students, encouraging them to approach their exams with confidence.
