Woman dies after bull attack in Bhubaneswar; residents protest for action

Bhubaneswar, Feb 10: In a tragic incident, a woman succumbed to her injuries on Monday after being attacked by a stray bull in the Barimunda area under the Mancheswar police station in Bhubaneswar.
According to reports, the woman was attacked on Sunday and sustained severe injuries. She was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment but passed away on Monday morning.
Residents of the area have long been demanding a permanent solution to the stray bull menace, but the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has allegedly failed to take action. The situation turned tense following the woman’s death, as angry locals took to the streets, blocking roads and staging a protest. They demanded immediate measures to curb the problem and also sought financial compensation for the victim’s family.
It is important to note that this is not an isolated incident. Just last week, five people were injured in a similar bull attack in the area, raising serious concerns over public safety. Residents continue to urge authorities to address the issue before more lives are lost.
