Bhubaneswar, Feb 8: Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati has appointed Professor Deepak Kumar Sahu as the new Vice-Chancellor of Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) in Burla. This appointment is seen as a major step towards enhancing the academic and research environment of the prestigious institution.

Professor Sahu, 59, is currently serving as a professor at Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT). With 14 years of teaching experience, he has made significant contributions to academia, particularly in research and mentorship. He has published numerous research papers and journals on various subjects and has successfully guided six researchers in obtaining their PhD degrees.

His appointment is expected to bring strong leadership and a visionary approach to VSSUT, further strengthening its academic and research standing. The university community is optimistic that his expertise will help advance technological education and innovation at VSSUT, making it a hub for excellence in engineering and research in Odisha and beyond.
