Thief caught after failed burglary near Niranjan Patnaik’s house
Bhubaneswar, Jan 28: In an effort to tackle rising crime, Nayapalli police arrested a youth on Monday night for attempting a burglary in the VIP Colony of Sector 25.
The suspect was allegedly targeting multiple duplexes when vigilant security guards noticed his movements. Realizing he had been spotted, the thief tried to escape by scaling the wall of a house. The accused is currently in police custody for interrogation.
In a separate incident on January 28, burglars targeted the residence of senior Congress leader Niranjan Patnaik, also in Nayapalli.
