Chief Secretary assigned extended role as Chief Resident Commissioner

Bhubaneswar, Jan 27: Odisha Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja will continue to hold the additional responsibility of Chief Resident Commissioner for the Government of Odisha in New Delhi. This decision was confirmed through a notification issued by the General Administration & Public Grievance Department of the Odisha government on January 24.
The notification stated, “Shri Manoj Ahuja, IAS (RR-1990), Chief Secretary, Odisha, with additional charge of Chairman, SJTA, Puri, is allowed to remain in additional charge of Chief Resident Commissioner, Government of Odisha, New Delhi.”
This extension in responsibilities underscores Ahuja’s pivotal role in managing key administrative and developmental initiatives, both in the state and at the national level. In addition to his duties as the Chief Secretary, Ahuja also oversees the administration of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) in Puri. His continued presence as Chief Resident Commissioner in New Delhi will ensure effective liaison between the Odisha government and central authorities, facilitating various policy and developmental matters concerning the state.
