Dr. Haribabu Kambhampati to take oath as Governor on January 3

Bhubaneswar, Jan 1: Dr. Haribabu Kambhampati is set to take oath as the 27th Governor of Odisha on January 3, marking a significant transition in the state’s governance. The swearing-in ceremony will take place at Raj Bhavan in Bhubaneswar, where he will officially assume his duties.
Dr. Kambhampati’s appointment as the Governor of Odisha follows the resignation of Raghubar Das. He was named to the position by the President on December 27. Before this, he served as the 15th Governor of Mizoram, having taken charge there on November 5, 2021.
The incoming Governor is scheduled to arrive in Bhubaneswar on Thursday, ahead of the oath-taking ceremony. His experience as a former Governor is expected to bring a fresh perspective to Odisha’s administrative landscape.
