Mutilated body of 25-year-old woman found on railway tracks in Balangir

Bhubaneswar, Dec 28: On Saturday morning, the Government Railway Police recovered the mutilated body of a 25-year-old woman from the railway tracks near Sirol village, under Titlagarh police limits in Balangir district. The deceased has been identified as Kamala Rana, a resident of Tentulikhuti village.
Kamala had been married to Kumarmani Rana for eight years, and the couple had two children. According to sources, on the night of Friday, Kamala had a heated argument with her husband, which led her to leave the house. Her family searched for her throughout the night but could not locate her.
On Saturday morning, locals discovered Kamala’s body on the railway tracks near Sirol village and promptly alerted the Government Railway Police. Her family members soon arrived at the scene after being notified.
The police have sent the body for post-mortem and have initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding Kamala’s death, which remains unclear at this time.
