Bhubaneswar, Nov 28: Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced on Thursday that the verification process for Subhadra Yojana applicants would be finalized within 15 days. This assurance comes as part of the government’s efforts to expedite the disbursement of financial aid under the flagship scheme.

Addressing the media, Parida emphasized that girls turning 21 this month are eligible for assistance. She reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring no eligible beneficiary is left out, including those whose applications were previously rejected. “All eligible beneficiaries who faced rejection earlier will be included in the fourth phase of the first installment,” she stated.

The Deputy Chief Minister also acknowledged challenges faced by applicants due to errors in submissions. “In several areas, women missed out on benefits due to improperly submitted applications. We are now fast-tracking the verification to address these issues,” she added.

With over 1.6 crore applications received so far, the Subhadra Yojana continues to gain momentum as a key welfare initiative.
