Refusing For Marriage, Teacher Stabbed In School Premises

A man stabbed a teacher to death for refusing to marry. Ramani was a teacher in a government school in Malipattinam, Tamil Nadu. She was stabbed to death by a man named Madan in the school premises. According to the information received from police sources, Ramani and Madan had been in a relationship for many years. However, their relationship was opposed by Ramani's family. On the other hand, Madan proposed to marry Ramani, but she refused to marry due to family pressure. Enraged by this, Madan went to the school on Tuesday and stabbed Ramani. Ramani was seriously injured in the stabbing and was taken to the hospital by other teachers and students of the school. There the doctor declared Ramani dead. On receiving the news, the police reached the spot and started investigation and arrested Madan. Opposition AIADMK leader E. Palaniswami has criticized the state government over the death of the teacher. He alleged that the law and order in the state has gone wrong. He pointed out that the government has failed to protect the public servants on duty. Tamil Nadu Education Minister Anbil Mahesh expressed grief over this incident and said that strict action will be taken against the culprits.
