Ruckus Breaks Out Inside Jammu and Kashmir Assembly

A ruckus broke out in the Jammu and Kashmir assembly after a MLA displayed a banner to reinstate Article 370 in the Assembly on Thursday.

Clashes and verbal fights have taken place between the ruling and opposition MLAs. MLA Khurshid Sheikh was the first to protest with a banner demanding the reinstatement of Article 370 and special status to Jammu and Kashmir. BJP MLA Sunil Sharma approached him and tried to take away the said banner. At this time, there was a fight between both of them.

The central government repealed Article 370 in 2019. However, in the third day session of the Assembly, the ruling party passed a historic proposal to re-implement it, said the National Conference. The new government said, there is a need to re-impose Article 370. On the other hand, BJP has said that this is an anti-national agenda. Following the uproar, the Speaker suspended the assembly proceedings for some time.
