Omar Abdullah Took Oath as the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir

National Conference leader Omar Abdullah took oath as the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. Governor Manoj Sinha administered oath of office and secrecy to him.
Before taking the oath of office, Omar Abdullah paid tributes at Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah's memorial. Along with Omar, National Conference leader Surinder Chowdhury has been sworn in as the Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir. Apart from this, Satish Sharma, Sakina Itu have been sworn in as Ministers.
The Congress party has not joined the government. Congress has decided to support Omar's government from outside.
The swearing-in ceremony at the Sher E Kashmir International Convention Center was attended by Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, JKNC chief Farooq Abdullah, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti, AAP leader Sanjay Singh and other leaders of INDIA Bloc .
