Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar on a visit to Pakistan
New Delhi: Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar will arrive in Pakistan on Tuesday. Jaishankar will arrive in Pakistan to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit. This will be the first high-level visit from India to Pakistan amid tensions between the two countries for the past several years.
Upon arrival in Islamabad, Jaishankar will attend a reception hosted by Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif to welcome the SCO member countries. However, both sides have rejected any bilateral meeting between Jayash and his Pakistani counterpart Ishaq Dar on the occasion of this visit. After almost 9 years, India's foreign minister will visit Pakistan. Earlier, Sushma Swaraj visited Pakistan for the last time as the External Affairs Minister of India.
