Thieves loot cash, gold, and silver from teacher’s home in Udala

Bhubaneswar, Oct 14: A teacher named Daitari Bindhani from Mayurbhanj district, Odisha, was robbed while he was away for medical treatment in Balasore. The burglary took place at his residence in Ward No. 4 of Udala NAC, where thieves stole ₹13,600 in cash along with 10-12 grams of gold and several silver ornaments.
The entire act was recorded on CCTV. The culprits broke the main door lock and draped sarees over the cameras to hide their identities. They also damaged one CCTV camera installed outside the house. Inside, they unlocked a cabinet to steal the valuables.
Bindhani discovered the theft upon returning home on Monday morning, finding both the main door and cabinet open. He immediately filed a complaint with the local police, who have launched an investigation to trace the culprits and recover the stolen items.
