After the death of Ratan Tata, Noel Tata has been appointed as the chairman of Tata Trust. Noel Tata is Ratan Tata's younger brother (step brother). Noel Tata was a trustee of Sir Ratan Tata Trust and Sir Dorabji Tata Trust Board. He has been appointed as the Chairman of Tata Trust after Ratan Tata. This decision was taken in an important meeting of the company.

Noel is currently the Chairman of Tata International Limited, Voltas Limited, Tata Investment Corporation Limited and is also the Vice Chairman of Titan Company. After the death of Ratan Tata, there was a lot of talk about him taking control of the Tata family.

Prominent industrialist Ratan Tata passed away on Wednesday night. He was known everywhere as a person of calm, simple and kind nature. Throughout his life he devoted himself to public service. He used to invest 65 percent of his income in social service. He was cremated on Thursday afternoon. Many dignitaries paid their last respects before the funeral.
