Subhadra Yojana gains momentum with 1 crore women enrolled, benefit disbursement on track

Bhubaneswar, Oct 7: Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced on Monday that one crore women across the state have enrolled in the Subhadra Yojana, the flagship women empowerment scheme of the Mohan Majhi-led Odisha government.
Parida, who also serves as the Women and Child Development Minister, revealed that 32 lakh women have been identified as eligible beneficiaries under the MPCI category. All beneficiaries listed by October 7 will receive the first installment of ₹5,000 on October 9 as part of the Subhadra Yojana.
She further stated that applications submitted to the government will undergo thorough scrutiny, and eligible women will receive their first installment of ₹5,000 by December.
Additionally, women set to receive their first installment on October 9 will receive a token amount of ₹1 in their bank accounts on Monday, with the remaining ₹4,999 to be credited on October 9.
