Youth’s severed body discovered on Odisha railway tracks

Bhubaneswar, Oct 4: The mutilated body of a young man was discovered on a railway track near Nergundi railway station in Odisha's Cuttack district on Friday morning. The victim was identified as Tirupati Reddy, a tyre mechanic employed by a private company.
The body was found in a gruesome condition, with both hands and feet tied, and the head severed from the torso. Family members of Tirupati Reddy suspect foul play, alleging that he was murdered and his body was deliberately dumped on the railway tracks to make it look like an accident.
Tangi police, along with Railway Police Force (RPF) personnel, rushed to the scene after being alerted by locals. The body was recovered and sent for post-mortem, while an investigation into the case has been launched. Police are examining all angles, including potential personal or professional disputes that might have led to the crime. The incident has sparked shock and concern in the area.
