IMD predicts light to moderate rain in Odisha on September 18-19

Bhubaneswar, Sept 17: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted light to moderate rain and thundershowers for Odisha on September 18 and 19. According to the weather report, interior regions of Odisha are expected to experience light to moderate rainfall on Monday, while Coastal Odisha will see scattered showers. By Tuesday, the intensity of the rain is expected to decrease, with only a few areas likely to receive light to moderate showers.
In addition, the regional weather office has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms accompanied by lightning for several districts, including Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Boudh, Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj, and Keonjhar, on September 20.
For September 21, isolated thunderstorms with lightning are forecasted in multiple districts, including Puri, Khurda, Sonepur, Bolangir, Kalahandi, and Koraput. The IMD has advised residents of these regions to remain cautious during these weather conditions, especially in areas vulnerable to lightning and thunderstorms.
