Mo School Abhiyan' revamped as 'Panchasakha Sikhya Setu' in Odisha
Bhubaneswar, Sept 14: The Odisha government officially renamed the ‘Mo School Abhiyan’ to ‘Panchasakha Sikhya Setu’ on Saturday, with a proposed budget allocation of Rs 332 crore. The School and Mass Education Department of Odisha confirmed the renaming through a formal notification.
As outlined in the recent state budget, the restructured scheme aims to enhance the education sector by encouraging active involvement from alumni and stakeholders. The department has directed the State Project Director, OSEPA-cum-Member Secretary, to implement the necessary modifications.
The revamped initiative will introduce new measures to benefit students and foster collaborative efforts. The full details of Panchasakha Sikhya Setu will be shared soon.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced the renaming during his first budget speech. The Mo School Abhiyan, originally launched in 2017 by the BJD-led government, was aimed at improving government schools.
