Kendrapara admin suspends payments for officials over Subhadra Yojana bribery claims

Bhubaneswar, Sept 6: The Kendrapara district administration has withheld the remuneration of three individuals accused of soliciting money for providing Subhadra Yojana application forms to beneficiaries.
The remuneration of Anganwadi worker Puspalata Panda has been suspended following allegations that she demanded money from beneficiaries during the distribution of Subhadra forms. Additionally, an order has been issued to withhold the salary of an Anganwadi worker in Sardeipur for failing to distribute the forms. Action has also been taken against two public service centers in Derabish for requesting money in exchange for the forms.
In response, the Additional Secretary of the Women and Child Development Department has directed the District Collectors of seven districts—Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Kendrapara, and Puri—to take action against those demanding money for Subhadra Yojana application forms.
