Good news for Lord Jagannath devotees as SJTA allows darshan of Lord Jagannath and his divine siblings on the auspicious occasion of  Deba Snana Purnima, a bathing ritual of the deities, this year. After a gap of two years, Snana Jatra this year will be held with public participation .However, the devotees cannot touch the deities.

Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) announced this following a meeting with Daitapati Nijog servitors today. The representatives of Chhatisa Nijoga , the Collector, chief of Daitapati Nijog and others were present in the meeting.

The Snana Purnima rituals mark the beginning of the world famous Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra. 

About the presence of devotees on Ratha Jatra, the official said SJTA is considering to hold the annual car festival this year in presence of devotees, if Covid situation continues to remain under control.
