Chief Minister's public grievance hearings cancelled for August 19 and 26 holidays

Bhubaneswar, Aug 16: The public grievance hearing scheduled for August 19 and August 26 has been canceled due to government holidays, according to a statement released by the Department of General Administration and Public Grievance on Friday.
The department announced that new dates for the public grievance hearings will be communicated soon via newspapers and public notices. Sources indicate that the decision to cancel the hearings on these dates was made in consideration of the significance of two major festivals: Rakhi Purnima on August 19 and Janmashtami on August 26. Rakhi Purnima celebrates the bond between brothers and sisters, while Janmashtami marks the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna, both of which are important holidays in Odisha.
It is noteworthy that the Chief Minister's public grievance hearing initiative, which commenced on July 1, is held every Monday. However, the grievance cell was closed for two weeks last month due to the Chief Minister’s visit to New Delhi and the Odisha assembly session. The department assures that the public will be duly informed about the rescheduled dates for the hearings.
