Subhadra Yojana: Odisha seeks public feedback before finalising SOP

Bhubaneswar, Aug 13: Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced on Tuesday that the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the proposed Subhadra Yojana, a woman-centric scheme, will be released soon. The SOP will be finalized after considering feedback from the public, intellectuals, and other stakeholders.
Parida highlighted that the Subhadra Yojana is a historic initiative aimed at empowering women and transforming their lives. She urged people not to speculate about the scheme until the SOP is released, assuring that the application process will be straightforward and hassle-free.
Addressing the media, the Deputy CM stated, “The Subhadra Yojana is designed to empower women by making 50% of them economically self-sufficient through financial assistance. The government has prepared a roadmap for the scheme and is seeking feedback from various stakeholders to enhance its effectiveness. The goal is to benefit as many women as possible. While the SOP is ready, we are gathering suggestions to ensure it is efficient.”
Parida added, “The government has instructed collectors to gather feedback from all stakeholders by August 14. Once received, we will evaluate the suggestions and make necessary modifications to the SOP.”
