Odisha unveils 'Kutumba' scheme to honor freedom fighters' families

Bhubaneswar, Aug 9: In a significant development, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced on Friday that the state government will soon launch a pension scheme for the families of freedom fighters under the ‘Kutumba’ scheme. This initiative aims to provide much-needed financial assistance to the kin of those brave individuals who fought tirelessly to free India from British rule.
The announcement was made on the occasion of Kranti Divas, commemorating the anniversary of the Quit India Movement. Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Majhi acknowledged the long-standing demand for such a scheme and expressed his gratitude towards the freedom fighters.
