IMD forecasts heavy rains in Odisha until August 15

Bhubaneswar, Aug 9: Heavy rains are expected to lash Odisha until August 15, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional center. The weather office has issued yellow warnings for certain areas in north Odisha on August 9, 10, 13, 14, and 15.
The IMD reports that a cyclonic circulation lies over south Jharkhand and its surrounding areas, between 5.8 and 7.6 km above mean sea level, tilting southwards with height.
