Manual check-ins at Bhubaneswar airport amid global Microsoft server crash

Bhubaneswar, July 19: Flight services at Bhubaneswar Airport have been disrupted due to a major global outage of Microsoft servers. Prasanna Pradhan, Joint General Manager (Air Traffic Management) of the Airports Authority of India, stated that the web or online check-in system for flight boarding is not functioning.
Pradhan further explained that all flights have been affected since the outage began at 10 am IST. This has caused delays of nearly an hour for both incoming and outgoing flights at Bhubaneswar Airport.
Manual boarding passes are being issued, but this process is time-consuming. Millions of Microsoft users worldwide are experiencing issues, as the 'blue screen of death' error is being displayed by Microsoft Windows and ReactOS operating systems.
Microsoft has acknowledged the global outage, attributing the error to a recent CrowdStrike update. The outage initially affected a subset of customers using multiple Azure services in the Central US region. Azure is a cloud computing platform that provides services for building, deploying, and managing applications.
