Odisha Assembly Speaker calls all-party meeting ahead of budget session
Bhubaneswar, July 19: Speaker Surama Padhy has scheduled an all-party meeting for July 21 in preparation for the upcoming budget session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly. The meeting is set to begin at 11 am and aims to discuss measures for ensuring a smooth conduct of business during the session.
The Speaker is expected to request the cooperation of all political parties to facilitate the efficient functioning of the Assembly.
Additionally, the appointment of the Government Chief Whip and Deputy Chief Whip will be finalized before the all-party meeting. Nominations for the Deputy Speaker position will be accepted on July 23 until 12 noon, with the election results to be announced on July 24.
