Electricity Subsidy To Be Optional In Delhi From October 1 : kejriwal
Now not everyone will be given free electricity subsidies, only those who want it will be available. This announcement was made by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday.
Kejriwal said the electricity subsidy would be optional in Delhi from October 1. If any consumer wants electricity subsidy, they will be provided with free or discounted electricity. But if anyone thinks they are efficient, they can use the non subsidized electricity, saying they do not want electricity subsidies.
In Delhi, consumers are still being billed for the first 200 units of electricity. Electricity charges have been levied per unit since 2014. Since 2014, 400 units of electricity have been subsidized by Rs 400.
