Odisha CM orders resumption of public grievance hearings from July 1

Bhubaneswar, June 27: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has ordered the resumption of public grievance hearings across all government departments starting July 1.
According to the Chief Minister's directive, public grievance hearings will be reinstated for all government departments, Heads of Departments, and joint hearings conducted by Collectors and Superintendents of Police in their respective districts. All grievances received during these hearings must be registered on the Jana Sunani portal for record-keeping.
The aim of resuming public grievance hearings is to enhance administrative transparency, sources said. The General Administration and Public Grievance Department issued notifications to all concerned authorities on Wednesday.
The official communication stated, “The hearing of Monday Public Grievances in all government departments, Heads of Departments, and Joint Hearings of Public Grievances conducted by Collectors and Superintendents of Police in their respective districts is to be resumed from July 1, 2024, as per the orders of the Chief Minister. All grievances received during these hearings must be registered on the Jana Sunani portal for record-keeping.”
