Mutilated bodies of missing couple discovered in Odisha village

Bhubaneswar, May 22: The mutilated bodies of a young couple, who had been missing for the past 10 days, were discovered under a bridge in Atharanga village, within the Begunia police limits, on Tuesday.
The deceased boy was from Botalama village under Atharanga panchayat, and the deceased girl was from Lathipada village under Hirapur panchayat.
Family members of both victims alleged that miscreants killed the couple and dumped their bodies.
Sources reported that locals discovered the bodies under the bridge on Tuesday evening and immediately informed the police, who arrived at the scene and sent the bodies for post-mortem.
It has been revealed that the girl's parents had filed a missing persons report with Begunia police a few days ago.
A scientific team has been deployed to gather evidence related to the crime. A manhunt is underway for the perpetrators, and an investigation has been launched to determine the motive behind the killings, according to sources.
