Bhubaneswar, April 10: With Lok Sabha and Assembly elections looming in Odisha, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced its intention to unveil the complete list of candidates for various constituencies in the state imminently.

Vijaypal Singh Tomar, BJP's Odisha Election in-charge, stated that additional nominees for Assembly seats would be disclosed within the next two to three days. While the party has already named candidates for all 21 Lok Sabha seats, it has finalized contenders for 112 out of the 147 Assembly seats thus far.

Tomar projected that the entire candidate roster for all constituencies would likely be revealed by April 20. "Names of candidates will be unveiled in the next two to three days," he informed reporters upon his arrival in Bhubaneswar.

Acknowledging a potential adjustment in one Assembly seat due to a technical error, particularly in a constituency reserved for ST, Tomar highlighted the likelihood of a change in Pottangi Assembly constituency, which falls under the ST category.

Expressing confidence in BJP's electoral prospects, Tomar affirmed the party's readiness to perform well in both Assembly and Lok Sabha segments. He further asserted BJP's aspiration to secure a majority in the Odisha Assembly while clinching numerous Lok Sabha seats in the state.
