BJD aims for full sweep in Odisha elections

Bhubaneswar, March 23: Just hours after the BJP announced its decision to contest solo in Odisha, the ruling BJD has countered with its own declaration to vie for all 147 Assembly constituencies and 21 Lok Sabha constituencies in the upcoming elections.
In a statement shared on X (formerly Twitter), BJD General Secretary (Organisation) Pranab Prakash Das affirmed, "Under the leadership of Shri Naveen Patnaik, BJD will vigorously compete in all 147 assembly and 21 Lok Sabha constituencies, with the unwavering support of the people of Odisha. Our aim is to secure more than three-fourths of the seats."
Das further emphasized, "Our vision is to create a New Odisha and an Empowered Odisha, and we are steadfast in our pursuit under the guidance of Shri Naveen Patnaik."
He attributed the success and progress of Odisha to the blessings of Lord Jagannatha and the trust bestowed upon the BJD by the people of the state. Das reiterated the party's commitment to serving Odisha comprehensively across all sectors.
Highlighting the party's principles, the BJD General Secretary (Organisation) assured that decisions will always be made with the paramount interests of the people of Odisha at heart. He emphasized the party's dedication to cooperative federalism and statesmanship, crucial for the holistic development of the nation.
