CM Naveen raises salary and benefits for art and sports teachers

Bhubaneswar, March 2: On Saturday, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik revealed a rise in the monthly remuneration for temporary art and sports teachers in Upper Primary Schools.
Following the CM’s directive, the salary for these teachers has surged from Rs. 7,000 to Rs. 10,000 per month. Additionally, they will now receive payment for all 12 months instead of the previous 10-month arrangement.
Moreover, the government has affirmed that female art and sports teachers are eligible for maternity leave on par with other government employees.
This adjustment will positively impact 4,605 arts teachers across the state. Notably, the concerns of these teachers were brought to the attention of 5T Chairman and Nabin Odisha VK Pandian.
