Wife allegedly kills elderly husband in Daringbadi
Bhubaneswar : Tragedy struck Mardipanka village in Odisha's Kandhamal district on Sunday night as an elderly man lost his life following a heated argument. Netra Manjhi (63) was identified as the deceased, while Subhanti Manjhi (60) stands accused of the fatal assault.
Reports indicate that the altercation escalated between Netra and his wife, who were residing alone, leading to a physical confrontation on Sunday night. Subhanti allegedly unleashed a barrage of blows upon her husband, resulting in his demise.
Upon receiving notification of the incident, officers from the Daringbari police station, led by Officer Anand Chandra Paz, swiftly responded, recovering Netra's lifeless body from the scene. An investigation has been initiated, with preliminary findings pointing towards Netra's death being the result of the assault.
