Plus II student found dead after exam malpractice accusation

Berhampur, Feb 23: In a tragic incident, a Plus II student, identified as Dekshishi Sethi, was found deceased by hanging in his home in Suryanagar, located in the Baidyanathpur area of Berhampur in Odisha's Ganjam district on Friday morning.

Dekshishi, a second-year student at a private college in Berhampur, was reportedly under immense distress after being accused of malpractice during a Physics examination at Khallikote College on Thursday. The humiliation from this incident purportedly led him to take his own life by hanging himself from the ceiling of his room.

Upon discovery by family members on Friday morning, Dekshishi was rushed to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur, where medical professionals sadly declared him deceased.

Authorities from the Baidyanathpur police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding Dekshishi's decision to take such a drastic step.
