Three lecturers of Jajpur Government Polytechnic suspended for misconduct
Bhubaneswar, Oct 28: Three lecturers of Jajpur Government Polytechnic have been placed under suspension for alleged misconduct following the directive of Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
The suspended lecturers have been identified as senior lecturer Nrusingha Charan Behera, lecturer Sandeep Mohapatra and lecturer P. Aradhana.
According to allegations, the three lecturers were involved in heated arguments, a scuffle and other undignified behaviour during a meeting held on October 26. The alleged incident reportedly continued beyond the meeting and took place in the presence of students, raising concerns over discipline and professional conduct within the educational institution.
The incident has been viewed seriously, as teachers are expected to uphold the highest standards of dignity and responsibility. Such alleged behaviour not only affects the reputation of the institution but may also create an unhealthy academic environment for students.
Taking note of the matter, Chief Minister Majhi directed the suspension of the three lecturers and ordered disciplinary action against them.
The action underscores the state government's emphasis on maintaining discipline and accountability in educational institutions. The suspension will remain subject to the applicable service rules and the disciplinary process.
Further developments in the case are expected as the authorities proceed with the required action.
