Man succumbs to bullet injuries in Burla firing incident
Bhubaneswar, Aug 29: A 36-year-old man succumbed to bullet injuries sustained in a firing incident reported under Burla police station limits on Saturday, triggering concern in the area.
The deceased has been identified as Md Anish. According to preliminary police investigation, the incident appears to have stemmed from a personal dispute and a longstanding grievance between the individuals involved.
Police have detained the accused, identified as Raja Swami of Mangala Bazar in Jharsuguda, at Burla police station for questioning. The weapon allegedly used in the offence has also been seized by the police.
Following the incident, police launched an investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the firing and the subsequent death of Anish. Officials are questioning the detained accused and examining other relevant aspects of the case.
