BJP announces 40 star campaigners for Nuapada by-election
Bhubaneswar, Oct 16: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released a list of 40 star campaigners for the upcoming Nuapada Assembly by-election, reflecting the party’s strong focus on securing the key western Odisha constituency.
The list features several top national and state-level leaders, including Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who are expected to lead the campaign efforts. Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram, and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai have also been named among the prominent campaigners.
BJP’s Odisha unit president Manmohan Samal, MPs Baijayant Panda and Aparajita Sarangi, and Deputy Chief Ministers Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida will also join the campaign trail.
In a strategic move to strengthen cross-border support, the BJP has included several influential leaders from neighbouring Chhattisgarh—such as Arun Sao, Brijmohan Agrawal, and Rupkumari Choudhary—in the campaign lineup.
The by-election in Nuapada holds significant importance for the BJP as it aims to consolidate its position in western Odisha ahead of future polls.
