Odisha BJP President Manmohan Samal in Delhi for key meetings

Bhubaneswar, Sept 3 BJP’s Odisha state president Manmohan Samal left for Delhi on Wednesday to hold a series of discussions with senior central leaders. Party sources indicated that his visit is likely to revolve around organizational matters, particularly the reshaping of the state committee, appointments to boards and corporations, and preparations for upcoming political challenges.
Samal’s Delhi visit has gained significance as Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is also in the national capital. This has sparked speculation over possible reshuffles in the state cabinet and the induction of new faces into key administrative positions, a move that could influence the state’s political and governance landscape.
During his stay in Delhi, the CM inaugurated the Odisha Pavilion at SEMICON India 2025 on Tuesday, showcasing the state’s push toward advanced technology sectors. On Wednesday, he is scheduled to participate in the 56th GST Council meeting and hold deliberations with several Union ministers.
With the Union Cabinet recently approving ₹4,000 crore investment for two semiconductor projects in Bhubaneswar, Odisha is actively positioning itself as a hub for semiconductors and advanced electronics, aiming to draw global attention at SEMICON India 2025.
