BJP set to begin election process for Odisha state president and national members tomorrow

Bhubaneswar, June 28: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Odisha is all set to begin its long-awaited organisational election process from tomorrow, which will continue for three days. The election aims to appoint a new state president and select national members, with the entire process expected to conclude by July 1.
To ensure the smooth conduct of the elections, Bihar MP Sanjay Jaiswal has been appointed as the central observer. BJP’s state election officer and Balasore MP Pratap Sarangi has assured that the process will be carried out in an orderly and transparent manner.
The selection of a new state president has seen delays, as the earlier deadline to announce the name before March 31 was not met. BJP State in-charge Vijay Pal Singh Tomar had indicated that the central leadership would make a final decision soon.
In parallel, the BJP has also initiated the appointment process for the chairpersons of various boards and corporations. With significant restructuring expected, party insiders anticipate a wide-ranging organisational shake-up, potentially impacting roles from Mandal presidents up to the state president level.
