Man allegedly beats wife to death in Balasore

Bhubaneswar, June 13: A tragic incident unfolded in Balasore district, Odisha, where a man reportedly killed his wife, according to reliable reports on Thursday. The woman, identified as Kanchan Parida from Anuria village under Kheira police station limits, was beaten to death.

The incident occurred late at night, prompting the intervention of Kheira police who swiftly arrived at the scene to initiate investigations. The husband, Ramakant Parida, has been detained in connection with the crime. Sources indicate that the altercation leading to the fatal outcome stemmed from a dispute between Ramakant and Kanchan, during which Ramakant allegedly struck her fatally with his fist.

Ramakant, who had a prior conviction for attempted murder less than seven years ago, has been taken into custody by the police, who are currently interrogating him regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident.
