BJP Odisha announces new Morcha presidents and 37 district prabharis in major organisational overhaul
Bhubaneswar, Dec 9: The Odisha unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday announced a new list of Morcha presidents along with 37 organisational district prabharis (in-charges), signaling a significant restructuring aimed at strengthening the party’s grassroots network. The announcement was made by State BJP President Manmohan Samal, who approved updated leadership roles across key organisational wings.
The major reshuffle covers the youth, women, farmer, tribal, Scheduled Caste, OBC, and minority morchas—each playing a vital role in mobilising different sections of society. In the new appointments, Avilash Panda has been named the President of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), reflecting a renewed emphasis on energising the party’s youth cadre.
Dr. Aishwarya Biswal has taken charge of the Mahila Morcha, while Subhranshu Mohan Padhy will head the Krushak Morcha, tasked with strengthening outreach among farmers. For tribal and Scheduled Caste communities, Kandera Soren has been appointed as ST Morcha President, and Baidhar Mallick will lead the SC Morcha.
Additionally, Pradyumna Nayak has been selected as the OBC Morcha President, and Gurinder Singh will represent the party as Minority Morcha President.
The restructuring aims to bolster the BJP’s organisational effectiveness ahead of major political engagements in the coming months. Newly appointed leaders are expected to take charge immediately and focus on strengthening local units, enhancing public engagement, and preparing the party for future electoral challenges.
