Barabati Stadium gears up for India–South Africa T20 as fans await offline ticket sale

Bhubaneswar, Dec 2: Barabati Stadium in Cuttack is abuzz with excitement as preparations are in full swing for the much-anticipated T20 clash between India and South Africa scheduled for December 9. A special inspection was carried out today by Cricket Association officials, led by senior curator Ashish Bhowmick, to review the condition of the ground and evaluate the pitches prepared for the match.

As per sources, three pitches have been readied to ensure the best possible playing conditions. The final selection will be made after a thorough assessment of pitch behaviour, weather factors, and the curator’s recommendations. This meticulous preparation reflects the organisers’ efforts to deliver a world-class cricketing experience.

Meanwhile, ticket sales have generated massive enthusiasm among fans. The online sale, which concluded yesterday, witnessed over 2,000 tickets being snapped up within minutes, showcasing the craze for the high-voltage encounter. With the offline sale set to begin soon, cricket lovers are eagerly waiting for their chance to secure seats.

The stadium is expected to be filled to capacity as supporters gear up to cheer for their favourite players, making the December 9 match a memorable sporting event for Odisha.
