Ollywood mourns the loss of Humane Sagar; mother levels serious allegations against associates
Bhubaneswar, Nov 18: The sudden death of Ollywood singing sensation Humane Sagar has cast a pall of grief across Odisha’s film and music fraternity. The popular singer, cherished for his powerful voice and emotional renditions, leaves behind thousands of heartbroken fans, fellow artistes, and admirers who are struggling to come to terms with his untimely demise. Social media platforms have been flooded with tributes as the industry collectively remembers one of its most soulful voices.
Amid the widespread mourning, Humane Sagar’s mother, Shefali Suna, has made serious and emotional allegations, directly naming three individuals whom she believes played a role in her son’s death. Speaking to the media through tears, she accused his personal assistants—Papu and Prashant—and a young woman, Arpita Choudhury, of exploiting and mentally harassing the singer during the final phase of his life.
“My son was used by these people. Even when his health was worsening, they forced him to perform shows and did not allow him to rest or get proper treatment,” she said. She further alleged that the trio kept him under immense psychological pressure, pushing him into severe depression.
Humane Sagar, born in Titlagarh of Balangir district, had shown musical talent from childhood. Having earlier lost his father and younger brother, he lived in Cuttack with his mother, a schoolteacher, and other family members. His death marks a heartbreaking loss for the Odia music world.
