Deputy CM hits back at Naveen Patnaik, says ‘Nuapada will respond to 24 years of BJD’s betrayal
’Bhubaneswar, Nov 4: Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida has strongly countered BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik’s allegations that the BJP government in Odisha has stalled development projects over the past 16 months.
Responding sharply, Parida said that the people of Nuapada are ready to give a fitting reply to 24 years of BJD’s betrayal and misrule. Her reaction came soon after Patnaik, during a campaign rally for BJD candidate Snehangini Chhuria, accused the BJP government of neglecting welfare measures and halting developmental work in the state.
Taking to her official X (formerly Twitter) handle, Parida wrote, “What is betrayal? Now it seems to have struck Chamu! The people of Nuapada are preparing to respond to 24 years of BJD’s betrayal. Sisters of Mission Shakti will surely answer those who betrayed their trust in the elections.”
She further asserted that the voters of Nuapada will back the BJP, guided by faith in the 500-day government’s work. “Double engine, Captain fit – they will choose BJP, vote for BJP,” she added.
