BJP deploys eight ministers to lead campaign in Nuapada by-election

Bhubaneswar, Oct 23: In a strong show of political strategy, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has chalked out an extensive plan to secure victory in the upcoming Nuapada by-election, assigning eight Ministers to supervise campaign activities across eight designated zones of the constituency.

As per the party’s plan, Panchayati Raj Minister Rabi Narayan Naik will lead the campaign in Banjari zone, Forest Minister Ganesh R Singhkhuntia in Sunadei zone, Fisheries and Animal Resources Minister Gokulananda Mallik in Pataleswar zone, and Food Supplies Minister Krushna Chandra Patra in Jayajangha zone. Similarly, Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhushan Jena will oversee Konabhaira zone, School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond will manage Jogeswar zone, Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling will handle Nuapada NAC, while Housing and Urban Development Minister Krushna Chandra Mahapatra will head the Khariar Road NAC zone.

The election process is moving ahead, with the scrutiny of nomination papers completed on Wednesday. Out of 19 aspirants, five nominations were rejected, leaving 14 candidates—six from political parties and eight independents—in the fray.

Voting will take place on November 11, with counting scheduled for November 14.
