Bhubaneswar, Oct 18: In a grand political show of strength, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Jay Dholakia filed his nomination papers today for the upcoming by-election at the office of the Returning Officer in Khariar Road. The event turned into a massive rally as hundreds of supporters accompanied him in a spirited procession that began from Khariar Road and passed through major parts of the town, showcasing the BJP’s growing influence in the region.

Several senior BJP leaders, including State President Manmohan Samal, ministers Rabinarayan Naik and Ganesh R. Singhkhuntia, along with several sitting MLAs, were present to lend their support. The atmosphere was charged with party slogans, flags, and enthusiastic workers expressing solidarity with the candidate.

Speaking after filing his nomination, Dholakia exuded confidence in the party’s victory, crediting the BJP’s strong grassroots network and public trust in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said the people of the constituency are ready to back development-oriented politics and ensure a decisive win for the BJP in the upcoming by-poll.
