Bhubaneswar, June 12: In a tragic road accident, two persons lost their lives while another sustained serious injuries following a head-on collision between two motorcycles at Sakasinga in Odisha’s Angul district on Thursday morning.

According to reports, the incident occurred when the two bikes, traveling from opposite directions, collided with each other at high speed. The impact of the collision was severe, throwing all three riders off their vehicles and leaving them critically injured. Local residents who witnessed the mishap immediately rushed to the spot and extended help by transporting the injured to the Angul District Headquarters Hospital.

\Despite the prompt medical assistance, two of the victims were declared brought dead by doctors at the hospital. The third individual is currently undergoing treatment and is reported to be in a critical condition. Medical staff are closely monitoring his condition.

Police have launched an investigation into the accident and are working to identify the deceased, whose names and addresses were not immediately available. Meanwhile, the bodies have been sent for post-mortem. The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community, raising fresh concerns over road safety in the region.
