Indian cricketers seek blessings at Jagannath Temple ahead of crucial ODI

Bhubaneswar, Feb 8: In a significant spiritual gesture, Indian cricketers Washington Sundar, Varun Chakaravarthy, and Akshar Patel paid a visit to the Jagannath Temple in Puri on Saturday, seeking the blessings of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Goddess Subhadra ahead of their crucial ODI match against England at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on Sunday.
The players arrived at the sacred temple early in the morning, accompanied by tight security arrangements to ensure a smooth visit. Upon their arrival, they were warmly received by the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), which facilitated their darshan at the temple. The cricketers were escorted through the Beherana Dwara and taken to the Ratna Singhasan, where they offered prayers with deep reverence.
Following their spiritual visit, the players expressed their happiness and gratitude for the divine opportunity, emphasizing how the experience filled them with positive energy. With the highly anticipated ODI match just a day away, the Indian team hopes to channel the divine blessings from the temple onto the field, aiming for a winning start to the series against England.
