No More Male Tailors For Female Clothes

The State Commission for Women has made several recommendations to prevent violence against women in Uttar Pradesh. The proposal states that male tailors will no longer be able to measure women's clothes or cut women's hair. Some male tailors have been accused of disrespectful behavior while measuring women's clothes. Therefore, such a proposal should be implemented to solve the problem, said Babita Chauhan, chairperson of the UP Women's Commission.
Gymnasiums, on the other hand, will appoint only female trainers for women. If a woman wants to be under the supervision of a male trainer, the woman concerned has to give a written declaration in this regard. Babita, who has filed a written complaint with the commission, said that many women are being harassed in the gymnasium.
The Commission stressed on the compulsory employment of women to take measurements of women's clothes in tailor shops. It has been proposed that school buses carrying students must have female staff. It has been proposed to the government to install CCTV in every coaching centre. The state government has been advised to implement these proposals immediately.
